How can I protect my password?

Tips to help you protect your password include:

  • Always keep your password secure.
  • Make sure no one is watching you when you login.
  • Log out of the site if you are temporarily leaving your computer. This ensures that subsequent information requests cannot be made without re-entering your login id and password.

If you experience technical difficulties accessing your account information, please call your Prudential Retirement Client Consultant.

What You Need to Access Your Account Online

To obtain access to your online account information, you will need an Internet access provider and a browser that supports Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) -- a security technology that encrypts or disguises data, preventing data from being read by others. Browser programs that support SSL include Netscape NavigatorTM (version 6.0 or higher), or Microsoft’s Internet ExplorerTM (version 5.0 or higher). If you are already using Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer software, Windows users can check the version number by clicking on HELP on the far right side of the menu bar, and then selecting “About Netscape/Internet Explorer…”; MacintoshTM users can find out about their product from the Apple® menu.

It is important to note that for your security, Prudential recommends you upgrade your browser to the highest level of encryption available (128 bit). U.S. citizens can download the latest version of the 128-bit browsers, available for free from Netscape and Microsoft.*

Once you've downloaded the appropriate browser, return to your account's login page to access your information.

Additional Information...

In addition to the aforementioned browser requirements, you will need to ensure that the following settings are enabled on your browser:

  • Accept Cookies, or warn before accepting a cookie.
  • Enable Java Script
  • Enable SSL (v2) or SSL (v3)

To understand how to update the security and advanced Internet options on your browser, please visit the customer service and/or technical support areas of your browser manufacturer’s Web site -- Netscape or Microsoft.
